November 17, 2008 In October 2008, SSA’s Office of Program Development and Research (OPDR) convened a new intercomponent workgroup, the Occupational Information System Development Workgroup. The workgroup includes representatives from SSA’s offices of Disability Adjudication and Review, Quality Performance, Medical and Vocational Expertise, Disability Programs, and Operations. The workgroup meets regularly to collaborate on issues involved with developing national occupational information to replace the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. We are currently preparing for the inaugural meeting of an advisory panel that OPDR is establishing at the Commissioner's request under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Workgroup members will provide component input throughout this project. November 23, 2007 The Office of the Chief Actuary has posted the automatic increase amounts for 2008. These figures are available at http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/COLA/index.html June 20, 2007 Effective immediately, the ^SSA Demonstrations mailbox is no longer available. The information about Demonstration projects posted to the Office of Program Development and Research website is updated regularly and has the most recent information available. For other inquiries, you may find it helpful to search the Social Security Administration’s website and that can be found at www.socialsecurity.gov. March 16, 2007 We have added the following fact sheet: How Payments and Services Received Under the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) Can Affect Social Security and SSI Benefits.
