Occupational Information System Development Workgroup

In October 2008, SSA’s Office of Program Development and Research (OPDR) convened a new intercomponent workgroup, the Occupational Information System Development Workgroup. The workgroup includes representatives from SSA’s offices of Disability Adjudication and Review, Quality Performance, Medical and Vocational Expertise, Disability Programs, and Operations. The workgroup meets regularly to collaborate on issues involved with developing national occupational information to replace the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. We are currently preparing for the inaugural meeting of an advisory panel that OPDR is establishing at the Commissioner's request under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Workgroup members will provide component input throughout this project.
